BOB GEELKERKEN

A consultant vascular surgeon at Medisch Spectrum Twente with a focus on complex aortic and peripheral vascular disorders, Prof. Geelkerken brings decades of clinical expertise and academic excellence to Flux Robotics.

As a professor at the M3i group at TechMed Centre, University of Twente, he has shaped innovative, competency-based training programs for surgeons, including the renowned CASH-3V program. An MD graduate from Erasmus University Rotterdam (1985) and a Ph.D. from Leiden University (1996), Prof. Geelkerken has long been a pioneer in translating advanced vascular technologies into clinical practice.

At Flux Robotics, his leadership has been pivotal—guiding the first user feasibility study in 2022, spearheading an animal trial in 2024 with Prof. Michel Reijnen, and co-supervising technical medicine students to drive forward our cutting-edge research. His groundbreaking clinical studies continue to influence practices nationwide, reinforcing Flux Robotics’ commitment to innovation and excellence in medical technology.
